I hate it when people punctuate conversation with 'and I was, like... and he said LIKE'.... please... stop me now before I have to sit on my hands for an eternity

I hate it when supposedly intelligent, well-informed & educated folks talk about 'less people'.
Didn't anybody learn about countable and uncountable nouns in school and the difference between 'less' and 'fewer'.
Still, it's not as bad as saying 'an historic occasion' - WRONG WRONG WRONG! You don't talk about 'an history lesson' do you?
Rant over.
